Eric Edney Edney came from a village in Wiltshire to win a scholarship to Marlborough School, where his wide reading led him to Communism.
He served in the International Brigade until repatriation in April 1938 and was the editor of the International Brigades Association journal, `Spain Today’ for very many years.
